Content Marketing Awards

The 2013 Content Marketing Awards announced earlier this week include one for us. Idea Grove won a Silver Award in the Best Blog Entry category. Chief Content Officer Clay Zeigler wrote the winning entry, which used examples from a Walmart media snafu to explain how not to handle negative media coverage.

In his post, Clay explained how banning a publication that posts critical stories of your business is a major mistake, but expecting the public to agree with your decision is an even larger error in judgment. Check out the post here.

This win comes a few weeks after Idea Grove was nominated as a finalist in two categories at the Golden Bridge Awards, PR Professional of the Year and Media Relations Team of the Year. Winners will be announced later this month.

The Content Marketing Awards are presented by the Content Marketing Institute, one of the leading online resources for content marketing. This year’s contest had more than 800 entries in more than 100 categories.
