Idea Grove was honored in five categories at the 2022 PRSA Dallas Pegasus Awards earlier this month. Our notable individual accomplishments and collective media relations secured two Winner titles, an Award of Honor and a Finalist designation.
PR Pro of the Year - Ashley Rea (Winner). With over six years of agency experience, Ashley spearheads Idea Grove’s public relations team as PR Director – nurturing client relationships, overseeing campaigns and mentoring junior team members. She has been a significant contributor to Idea Grove’s success since her arrival in 2021. Her creative expertise has produced remarkable results for more than a dozen clients, and under her leadership, the PR team has tripled in size and supported record-high company revenue—creating opportunities for even more team and agency-wide growth.
Media Relations - CloudTrucks Funding Announcement (Winner). CloudTrucks, a client in the trucking technology industry, engaged Idea Grove to help make a splash in an already-saturated market by increasing brand visibility and highlighting its mission to support independent truck drivers. Idea Grove created a strategic communications plan for its Series B funding announcement to reach a larger audience across tier-1 and high-authority trade publications. After landing an exclusive with Forbes, Idea Grove also secured placements in a number of national and trade outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Fortune, TechCrunch and more, with a total reach of 100M+, which ultimately helped secure CloudTrucks a spot on the 2022 CNBC Disruptor 50 list.
Media Relations - DAT Freight & Analytics Broadcast Feature (Award of Honor). DAT Freight & Analytics, a leader in the logistics and transportation industry, wanted to contribute to the supply chain crisis conversation while reaching potential prospects through top-tier media outlets. Idea Grove secured a broadcast feature on Bloomberg TV that amassed a viewership of over 72M+ and attracted the attention of other major outlets for additional commentary from DAT executives.
Influencer Campaign - Santa Influencer Program (Award of Honor). Santa – an app-to-door in-home shopping experience – launched in Dallas in the fall of 2021 and trusted Idea Grove to create a launch strategy and boost brand visibility. Idea Grove partnered with Kellie Rasberry and Ashley Shannet, two strategically recruited local influencers, to showcase Santa’s usability and their experiences with the brand on Instagram. The engagements from the campaign yielded impressive results and a successful launch in DFW, helping to lay a strong foundation for its expansion to Washington D.C. and Boston.
Publications - Trust Signals (Finalist). Trust Signals, an online publication produced by Idea Grove CEO Scott Baradell, has gained a significant readership over the course of 2022. The website was accompanied by the publication of Scott's first book, Trust Signals: Brand Building in a Post-Truth World, in October. The book highlights strategies to build, grow and protect brand trust, introducing Scott's Grow With TRUST methodology. Trust Signals has earned Amazon bestseller status, currently has a five-star rating after 44 reviews on Amazon, and has received positive editorial reviews, further showcasing its contribution to the public relations industry.
The Pegasus Awards recognize outstanding programs and projects within public relations and strategic communication in the Dallas area. Winners were announced on Nov. 29.
