PR News recently named Idea Grove a finalist for two Digital PR Awards, including PR Team of the Year and Best Online Community.

Idea Grove’s PR team was nominated for campaigns executed on behalf of a range of clients in 2012 and 2013. The B2B technology Pr and marketing firm has helped clients receive media coverage in outlets such as Mashable, VentureBeat and The Wall Street Journal.

Among the agency’s noted efforts on behalf of clients: The integration of media relations, content management and distribution; social engagement; and search and conversion rate optimization.

Idea Grove also is a finalist for Best Online Community for its work on behalf of CA Technologies. The company wanted to generate more awareness of service virtualization as a concept for better software testing and development. Idea Grove helped grow its nonbranded online platform, www.servicevirtualization.com.

Idea Grove’s initiatives expanded the base of contributors and enhanced content readability. These efforts helped build the platform into one of the top online resources for the concept. Initiatives resulted in growing the community to nearly 1,700 registered members, and the platform’s blog has more than 300 articles from nearly a dozen authors. After only eight months, the site ranked No. 2 in organic searches behind only the Wikipedia definition of the term.

The PR News awards honor outstanding digital initiatives among communications organizations, agencies and nonprofits. The awards recognize organizations that take risks and demonstrate an understanding of digital communications in public relations. Winners will be announced Nov. 5.
